IMDB rating: 6.80 Plot: On January 23, 2002, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl is to fly from Karachi to Dubai with his pregnant wife, Mariane, also a reporter. On the day before, with great care, he has arranged an interview in a cafe with an Islamic fundamentalist cleric. When Danny doesn’t return, Mariane initiates a search. Pakistani police, American embassy personnel, and the FBI examine witnesses, phone records, e-mails, and hard drives. Who has him? Where is he? There’s also the why: because of U.S. abuse of prisoners at Guantanimo, because of a history of Journal cooperation with the CIA, because Pearl is a Jew? Through it all, Mariane is clearheaded, direct, and determined. |

What do you think of this?
I have posted this question before, and to clarify to some people, yes I have lost someone namely my dad. (By the way I am 15 so please do not comment unless you are serious) Yes i know the poems are sad and morbid but please understand that I have had a rough life.
Okay the following are some poems that i have written. please tell me what you think of each one.
Undertow.
If the world is gone then where will I go.
I’m tossed in the wind like a flake of snow.
No control of where, how, or even when.
I used to know, but this is now and that was then.
When the world collapses around my ears.
No one will be there to see the tears.
Freshly spilled like a river of blood.
Emotions slip out caught in the flood.
I’m grasping at straws with no sense of direction.
Try as I might my life’s far from perfection.
It started as a flaw, a crack in the glass.
Then it grew bigger and I fell flat on my ***.
So, if the world is gone then where will I go?
Do not ask me cause I can hardly know.

Day Break.
Night always comes, inky and grim.
To swallow up day til it fills to the brim.
We all have to wait for dusk to turn day.
But when it does, its worth it we say.
Day is now as perpetual as night seemed.
The sun on our skin as warm as we dreamed.

Ephemeral.
Her soul is lost for but a few.
Life extinguished like morning dew.
A life lost is cause for weep.
It’s a mighty wall deaths vines will creep.
When the day is done, and death has won.
Life still shines a burning sun.

Love
Love is like fire it’s hot and it burns.
The one thing in life for which everyone yearns.
The thing I can’t hold, the thing I can’t grasp.
Love holds my heart in it’s clasp.
By James Casteel
Death
People come and people go.
Like the tides we ebb and flow.
Adamant I await for my time to pass.
When death comes to shatter life like glass.
I will look the reaper in the eyes.
Gently as i fall to my demise.
By James Casteel.

Considering how young you are (as am I), these are incredibly beautiful. The colors, textures, and tones that you incorporate into the poems with the choice of words are beautiful. Great job!

James these are really, really good. Are you just writing them because you want to? or is it for something like school or something? Either way there good, and don’t worry about if other people are like oh why are they so sad, you know why and if this is what you write about then it just is!

I LOVED them! You are definitely talented, and I would think about getting some of these published! The only suggestion I would make is maybe to make them a little bit longer. You are very talented, keep it up!
